Writing on behalf of the couple that stayed here - Celebrating their honeymoon booked by me.The property was lovely with access to the beach. The facilities were excellent especially the private jacuzzi in the room. The breakfast was very good too.

SPA was superb the location was amazingbreakfast and dinner spread was excellent

my room was not cleaned we stayed for 2 nights and they did not clean the room because it was weekend :(

One day stay family was very nice. Travel desk team Shaji did excellent service taking us to mookambika temple for a day .very good safe driving

Breakfast was excellent and treatments too

The property was tired, jacuzzi didn’t work, it was just a bit grubby sadly. Too many staff not doing anything and you had to explain everything over and over.

It’s beautifully located. You can experience the back water and also a beautiful sunset at a beautiful secluded beach. People at the restaurant were nice.

We booked a premier luxury room. Day 1 onwards they assumed it’s a booking for 3 and put an extra bed in the room and even when we requested to remove it they didn’t for next 2 days. Leaving us with cramped space in the room. Day 2 night onwards the AC stopped working in the room. Imagine in a luxury resort a room with dysfunctional ac and that too in Kerala summer. Not acceptable.

SPA was excellent.

food choice was very limited and bit too expensive.

Stunning architecture, beautiful grounds, private villas and we didn’t feel stacked on top of each other. Lovely facilities.

Nothing really, except that the nearest coffee shop and stores were like 2.5 kms away.

The rooms were old, and needed to be more maintained. Food varieties is limited

Spacious rooms, nice views, very hospitable staff. Diwali celebrations organized by the staff was amazing. We had a memorable trip. We were in room no 201 and it had amazing views of the palm fringed property and the river. FnB staff Priyakhi and Santosh were outstanding. Live juice counter during breakfast was very nice.

Jaccuzi did not have hot water

Wonderful setting with all facilities you could think of - great pool, bar, games, beach on the river with kayaking, gym, etc. excellent restaurant and the staff are very good.

Well, it is quite pricey.. but worth it if you can afford it. Just the one night for us, was a lovely break.

The pleasant staff, clean surroundings and very good service, always willing to help.

Please vary the menu, we had the same items daily.

I cannot say enough about my experience at the Lalit in Bekal. From the start, the welcome I received from Ms Anita, and the way I was treated by everyone throughout my stay exceeded my expectations and made my stay all so much better. The daily attention I received, as a solo traveler, from Priyaakhi Maitre d', and the Chef at the restaurant (the local dishes were excellent by the way), as well as Mr.Joy and everyone else, has left an indelible impression on my heart.This stay was the rest and recuperation I needed and it delivered. The spa is top-notch, and Dr Sheresh has been very helpful in advising the ayurvedic treatments I could avail myself of. The standard of the treatments delivered was also excellent.It's a place I will visit again and warmly recommend my friends and family to visit as well.

The plug points for charging electronic devices must be updated. However, I will add that my technical glitch was quickly resolved thanks to the always helpful staff.

The location the staff and the spacious rooms

For a 5 star hotel with no liquor and only one restaurant which is open only till 10:30 PM it was a unpleasant surprise as to how it is rated 5 star. Also the room service is pathetic and they are understaffed

A perfect stay at a resort with access to expansive free movement areas including riverside and the beach connected to Arabian sea. Saw some stunning sunset, variety of flora and fauna a treat to our eyes and enriching our experience. The food tasted very good too. There are even more facilities that we did not even try on this visit and probably would try another time.

A small feedback would be about the vessels used in breakfast have a very heavy handle, not necessarily friendly to all customers that like to help themselves.

Fantastic property spread over 20 acres beside backwaters and clean beach with only 38 cottages. Good spread of tasty local fare and also north indian and continental.Very friendly staff right from Reception to Restaurant to Spa. Prompt personalised service.

Lovely locality. Perfect getaway from city madness. Very calm and serene. Woke up to calm bird sounds everyday. Located with back waters on one side and beach on the another. One can walk around the property for calm atmosphere and great viewsRooms have good ambience and well maintained. View from the room is scenic. Walking distance to a beach from within the hotel itself (the beach is not a private one, but it is offbeat, so we saw very little crowds even on weekends)Staff were courteous and politeFood at restaurant is quite good.

The room comes with a Jacuzzi - the pressure isn't great. Also, no hot water connection to the Jacuzzi.

Well maintained and spread out over a large area. Even though it was booked out for the Diwali weekend, we didn’t feel it is crowded.The staff were very courteous. Constantly there to help and make our stay comfortable.
